My soundscape design will be collected from a kitchen environment. Noises and sounds that belong in the kitchen will be recorded. The resulting soundscape will mentally transport the listener to an imaginary kitchen. It will be a busy kitchen, the noises will be rythmic. Examples of what will be heard: Gas powered stove burners trying to start. Stove top burners igniting. Banging pots and pans, mostly pans. Utensils being scraped and dragged. The sound will be similar to a knife being sharpened or forks and spoon being picked up quickly from a hard surace. Bubbling, boiling water will be recorded. Tea pot overboiling will hopefully create a loud enough whistle for me to record. The rotation of a can openers blade opening a can. Can of beer being cracked open. Refridgerator door being opened and closed. Maybe I will add in a cook screaming, maybe because he burned himself of burned something. The sound of packages getting ripped open and trash doors closing could be added if the above sounds do not suffice. Also maybe the sound of things being stirred with a whisk or a spoon or both at the same time. The sound of a knife cutting up something on a cutting board would also be a nice addition.
