Museum Visit

On September 15th, 2011, I wandered around the Carnegie Museum of Pittsburgh trying to find inspiration for the layout of my future webpage. There were only a few pieces of art that really caught my eye as soon as I saw them.

Go Away

Go Away (right)

This piece was one of the few that syntactically played with words. I really had to concentrate to read the words line by line. My eye seemed to stay fixated on a certain color at a given time. Hopefully, my final website has that attribute.

"Go Away" also promotes the idea that there are many ways to get an idea across, something that is evident anywhere you are. Perhaps that can be an underlying message from my project.

Painting 2 (left)

I could not find a title for this painting. What I really love is the central image that sprawls outward. Also, the "background" is chaotic, almost making the observer focus on that as much as the foreground.
