The Books

The first website I chose was the band site of The Books. Although the site is extremely strange, I like how different the navigation is for the entire page. For instance, there's never a MAIN button to take you back to the homepage. The user has to figure out what to click in order to be directed back. In this case, the only image that is found on each page is that of a fly. When the user scrolls over and clicks, he or she goes to the main screen. Although this is really different than most websites (and I would NOT use a fly, obviously) it's easy to figure out because the pages aren't too difficult to navigate through.

Nylon Magazine

The second website I hope to use for inspiration of my own design is that of Nylon Magazine. I'm not so much thrilled with the layout, but I do plan on using the font families included on the website. Each font, whether the title of the website, the text, or the links, all flow together . I particularly like the geometric style and text-like structure of each font.

We Are The Hunted Music Chart

My final website I plan to use for inspiration is probably the most important. The main heading on the page is found in the upper left corner of the screen while the blocked links are found in a square covering the right of the page. Also, to click to the next page, the user clicks the icon on the far right, not on the bottom. The design of this website is interesting- I haven't found many others designed like it, which is surprising because the eye flows from the top left corner to the right and then down, somewhat like a book. It highlights the most important parts- the links- in an interesting way
